Arizona immigration law is an atrocity and we must prevent this cancer from spreading. I understand the frustration of local government as the previous administrations lax laws have provided few options. But vengeance is not the solution to resolving an immigration problem that impacts over 11 million immigrants(people) in this country illegally.
We must create a Washington were hot potatoes are not passed around doing an election year. America’s problems should be addressed and resolved regardless of who is running for office and when. People’s lives and issues should not be the platform and bargaining chips used for election funding and votes. As leaders we must set priorities and resolve issues not because it’s popular but because it is the right thing to do. If it is broken you fix it – period.
What is the right thing? We need to work with Mexico to assists in rebuilding their infrastructure and economy which will curtail the illegal immigration into the US. In addition, repair and improve our dysfunctional immigration policies and invest in improving our border infrastructure and patrol.
Better yet! We can do like Arizona and use people as pawns in a game to prove our point or just go back to our roots of discrimination and racial profiling, heck, it work on the black’s - right!

I will not stop!
I will not give up!
I will not give in!
I will fight this battle for the voice of the people who have not been heard.
I will fight this battle for the people who have not been counted.
I will change a system that disenfranchises the people it serves.
I will hold leaders accountable for the laws and the decision that they make, that violate people’s right and impedes on their civil liberties.
I will not stop, because this fight that I am fighting is for you!

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
A candidate disqualified from running in the May 4 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate filed a lawsuit last week seeking to get on the ballot, but the Ohio Supreme Court quickly denied her request for being filed too late.
Traci "T.J." Johnson of Hilliard came up 166 valid signatures short of the 1,000 needed to qualify for the ballot in March. She said in her lawsuit that her review of more than 1,000 signatures rejected in six counties showed at least 170 should have been accepted, giving her enough to get on the ballot.
Johnson argued that counties used different standards in reviewing petition signatures, meaning some that were accepted in certain counties were rejected in others. She sought a court order to put her on the ballot.
Johnson said she couldn't file a lawsuit earlier because she didn't get proper assistance from the state and couldn't afford a lawyer. Absentee voting began March 30. The court denied her request based on laches, a legal term referring to waiting too long to assert a claim.

Wall Street, America is calling for reform - plan and simple. The early IT boom is reminiscent of your current economic position. Your hay day of unscrupulous business dealing is over and you must know answer to the very people you took for granite.
America is holding you accountable in the form of this reform. We have asked for transparency, stronger consumer protection and oversight of the industry. Your actions have been irresponsible and the American people had to pay for your mistakes.
Don’t whine about being in time out for your reckless activities. You need to feel the pain of the America you injured. If that comes in the form of more regulations you will adjust, change is not easy when you’re moving from dishonest business practices to honest consumer activity.

3rd disqualified candidate sues opponent for ballot spot
Columbus, Ohio – April 16, 2010 Traci “TJ” Johnson candidate for United States Senate has taken matters into her own hands and has filed a lawsuit with the Ohio Supreme Court to get her name on the May 4th primary ballot. “The rights of thousands of Ohioans have been violated by the Ohio Secretary of State elections process. This is an infringement of my right to ballot access and the right of thousands of voters to vote for a candidate of their choice. I will not allow this type of injustice to prevail,” she said.
Johnson was disqualified for not submitting enough valid signatures leaving her short 166 signatures when close to 2000 signatures were presented. Sighting that the various Boards of Elections improperly disqualified countless valid signatures which prevented her from being placed on the ballot. Johnson states, “the request was simple, to have a second review of the petitions to discuss the countless discrepancies and validate the mistakes.” Her opponent denied her request and suggested the campaign sue the Ohio Secretary of State by way of the Ohio Supreme Court.
Traci “TJ” Jonson candidate for the United States Senate says, “it is a sad day……..when the people we elect; see the rights of people, they represent, being violated. But allow their personal political interests, to override the interests of the people who elect them.”

166 Ohioans Silenced by Secretary of State
Ohio Supreme Court gives voice to 19
Columbus, Ohio – April 12, 2010 The Johnson for United States Senate Campaign held a press conference at the Ohio Statehouse to announce that the campaign has enough signatures to appear on the May 4th Primary Ballot. In March, 2010 two months before the May Primary Election the Johnson for United States Senate campaign was informed by the Ohio Secretary of State, her opponent for the United State States Senate Seat, that the campaign missed the ballot by 166 signatures when close to 2000 signatures where presented.
During the press conference Johnson presented concrete evidence of the numerous mistakes performed by the various Boards of Elections, which fall under the authority of the Ohio Secretary of State. Johnson stated, “What was acceptable and valid in one county was disqualified and invalid in another county. There were also a number of valid signatures that were just plain overlooked.”
Johnson’s campaign requested information regarding an appeals process to have the mistakes reviewed and corrected. The Ohio Secretary of State denied an appeal and suggested the campaign sue the Ohio Secretary of State by way of the Ohio Supreme Court. “We cannot afford the $50,000 to $100,000 dollars that it will take to sue the Ohio Secretary of State to have her do her job……… This is a process that serves the interests of the wealthy and powerful, rather than ordinary people. I have enough signatures to get on the ballot and I am asking the Ohio Secretary of State to add my name to the May 4th Primary Ballot.”
On Wednesday the Ohio Supreme Court ruled in the favor of a Constitutional candidate who missed the ballot by 19 votes upon finding 41 mistakes by the Board of Election, he is now on the May 4th Primary Ballot. Johnson stated, “I represent single mothers, the elderly, ex-offenders, homeless, impoverished and the indigent where is the justice for us…………………..” If elected Johnson would be the 1st Female and 1st African American United States Senator for the State of Ohio.

This information is worth repeating ......
The proposal will make health care more affordable, make health insurers more accountable, expand health coverage to all Americans, and make the health system sustainable stabilizing family budgets, the Federal budget, and the economy:
- It makes insurance more affordable by providing the largest middle class tax cut for health care in history, reducing premium costs for tens of millions of families and small business owners who are priced out of coverage today. This helps 32 million Americans afford health care who do not get it today – and makes coverage more affordable for many more. Under the plan, 95% of Americans will be insured.
- It sets up a new competitive health insurance market giving millions of Americans the same choices of insurance that members of Congress will have.
- It brings greater accountability to health care by laying out commonsense rules of the road to keep premiums down and prevent insurance industry abuses and denial of care.
- It will end discrimination against Americans with pre-existing conditions.
* It puts our budget and economy on a more stable path by reducing the deficit by more than $100 billion over the next ten years – and more than $1 trillion over the second decade – by cutting government overspending and reining in waste, fraud and abuse. http://www.whitehouse.gov/healthreform/summary

President Barack Obama did what no other President could accomplish. He passed landmark health care legislation. The United State of America has a new health care policy. What is important to note regarding this Health Care policy - that options that weren't available to people will now become available. Healthcare for 95% of American is a beautiful thing.
The signing ceremony was awesome and historical. The President said he would do it and he got it done. So many American have struggled through life without healthcare due to escalating cost, and pre existing conditions just to name a few, but today we have seen real change!
How historical is this moment in time? President Obama’s Healthcare victory is the largest social program since the 1965 Medicare act signed by President Lyndon Johnson and 1935 Social Security Act of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Change is not popular but if you can lay a solid foundation, a basic framework, it provides a basis to build a stronger edifice. Thank you so much Mr. President for doing what you said. You really are working to make America a better place. I support you and I am so proud of you!

Columbus, Ohio – March 9, 2010 - Traci “TJ” Johnson community servant and candidate for United States Senate finds herself caught between two political giants, Lee Fisher and Jennifer Brunner. Johnson, in a history making feat, is running to become the 1st Female and 1st African American United States Senator for the State of Ohio. If elected she will be the only African American in the United States Senate.
The Johnson for United State Senate Campaign is alleging foul play and conflict of interest from the Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner’s Office. The campaign gathered and filed close to 2,000 signatures for the office of the United States Senate with Jennifer Brunner her opponent. Brunner’s office validated 834 signatures preventing her opponent Traci “TJ” Johnson name from appearing on the May 4, 2010 Primary Election Ballot.
Johnson campaign is in disbelief after collecting close to 2,000 signatures to have 834 validated to miss the ballot by 166 signatures. “We will contest this decision made by my opponent and her office. I owe it to the people of Ohio to make sure that we have a fair and equitable political process. I will fight to make sure that every signature is counted.” The Johnson campaign has vowed to scrutinize the remaining 1166 signatures and validate each signature.
“Ohioans across this State are fed up with the games that politicians play with people’s lives. This new government demands new leadership, Washington is regurgitating politicians every month. We can no longer send politicians to Washington, we must send real people, who relate to real problems, concerned about real people and will provide real solutions.”
